Italy reported three days ago that Newcastle United are eager to sign Dean Huijsen in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Huijsen, a Juventus player currently on loan at AS Roma, has caught the attention of several clubs, including Newcastle, with his impressive performances for the Serie A side.
A recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport discusses Newcastle’s interest in Huijsen and Juventus’ willingness to sell the young defender to raise funds for future signings.
Juventus technical director Cristiano Giuntoli is looking to sell some of the club’s youngsters, including Huijsen and Matías Soulé, who is currently on loan at Frosinone. Both players are on the transfer list, with Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund interested in signing them.
Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering making offers of €30m each for Huijsen, who will have to choose between the two clubs. Newcastle is also interested in Soulé, who has impressed at Frosinone this season.
Juventus is expecting offers in excess of €30m, possibly up to €35m, for Soulé, meaning Newcastle will need to invest at least €60m to sign both players from the Serie A champions.
